A THERAPY GROUP FOR PEOPLE IN THE PERFORMING ARTS

I'm excited to announce I have started a new group for people in their 20's and 30's who are involved in the performing/creative arts.

The group is a psychodynamic process group with a focus on the issues that affect anyone who is in the field: actors, singers, dancers, musicians, painters, comedians and writers.

Some issues covered are, competition, rejection, ambition, fear of success, fear of failure, envy, shame, self esteem, body and eating issues,  and perseverance.

Some other benefits include:

Both giving and receiving feedback on how you are perceived.

Studying your attachment style and working on improving your connections to other people and a setting in which members can take interpersonal risks in a safe, therapeutic environment and receive feedback in a constructive way, thereby deepening connections with others.

Sessions take place in my office at 250 West 57th St. #501. The group sessions are Mondays, 3:30-5:00 and Fridays, 11:30-1:00

The fee is a sliding scale.

If you are interested in joining or know someone you feel would benefit from a group like this, please contact Jill Choder-Goldman,@ 212 582-0736 to arrange a consultation or  feel free to contact me with any questions you might have in regards to this group.

Thank you,

Jill Choder-Goldman
